Qualification

BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

10+ years of experience in Civil / Mechanical Plant Layout.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment to develop a comprehensive plant layout that optimizes production efficiency. Identifying cost-saving opportunities through layout optimization.
  • Knowledge in design and planning of plant logistics, earthworks, roads, drainage and sewerage facilities.
  • Coordinating with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of equipment, including electrical, piping, and structural design. 
  • Proficiency in CAD software and 3D modeling tools. Reviewing detailed 3D models of the plant layout using CAD software to visualize and analyze po tential issues before construction.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Required Skill Set and Responsibility

Should have basic skills on :

  • Understanding on the process flow sheet and preparation of preliminary Plant General Layout.
  • Design of plant logistics, identifying logistics bottlenecks, support logistics decisions with calculations
  • Planning and design of site development works, Geometric design of in-plant road and pavement, In-plant captive railway track geometry comprising yards and linkages with external railway system, In-plant Storm water drainage and sanitary sewerage systems based on the applicable codes and software.
  • Working as a team lead, guiding working engineers and modellers.
  • Communication with other departments to get the input for development of the complete layout for a plant.
  • Knowledge on site selection study.
  • Knowledge of different safety regulations, codes, guidelines and industry standards.
  • Experience in handling logic based simulation software desirable

Responsibility :

  • Preparation of Preliminary Plant General Layout from basic assignment, design and document preparation.
  • Discussion with other disciplines and clients for providing comprehensive engineering solution.
  • Preparation of Reports, Bill of quantities and other relevant documents.
  • Detailed engineering for logistics services like Site development, Rail, Road, Drainage and Sewerage
  • Preparation of Technical Proposal and Bid evaluation
  • Interaction with client and other concerned agencies time to time for progress of the project.
  • Providing solution to layout issues during detail engineering progress.
  • Preparation of specification for topographic survey, interpretation of reports.
