Purpose & Scope of Position
Working Engineer (WE) will be part of an engineering team providing engineering services to large and small projects. WE is responsible for engineering in a 3D environment and production of 3D models and 2D drawings in accordance with project requirements under the supervision of the Project Engineer (PE). WE is required to apply specialized and/or advanced engineering principles at conceptual and detailed level. The WE participates in a wide range of projects and the activities include modeling and drafting for detailed engineering phase for multi-disciplinary projects.
Experience
• 1-4 years of experience in relevant design discipline in Ferrous or Non Ferrous • Experience in engineering packages
Qualification
• Postgraduate or graduate in an engineering discipline(Mechanical/Chemical/Metallurgy)
Key Responsibilities
- Good understanding of Ferrous or non-Fe smelting and refining plant design and engineering covering Process Design Basis, Process Design Criteria, Process Flow Diagram, Heat and Mass balance calculation, P&ID, Process Control Philosophy, Sequence Interlock Diagram, Group Start & Stop diagram, Process Equipment Specifications & Data Sheet, Pump Hydraulic Calculations, Line Sizing, Sizing of Different Process Equipment, Vendor Documents Review, plant operability and layout reviews
- Awareness of latest technological advances.
Basic Engineering
- Develop flowsheet, PFD, P&ID for related systems
- Develop Mass & Water Balance
- Selection and sizing of equipment
- Conversant with equipment associated with the industry like Mills, flotation, thickeners, filters, heat exchangers, columns, reactors, pumps, etc.
Procurement Related Activities
- Prepare Technical Specification, Datasheet for equipment, systems
- Tender adjudication and handle bidders
- Develop/ Review QA/QC procedures
Detailed Design and Engineering
- Prepare Equipment layout
- Vendor Drawing Review
