Purpose & Scope of Position

To lead and execute the engineering and design of renewable energy projects. The role aims to ensure technically robust, cost-effective, and sustainable design solutions while coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience

10-15 years of experience in Engineering and Design of Solar PV Plant, Wind Farm Design and other areas like floating solar Plant.  Design of Wind Turbine Foundation will be an added advantage. Preparation of RFQ, Technical Specification, Bid Clarification and Project co-ordination with various stake holders.

Experience in Switchyard Structures, Transmission line and Substation design if available shall be looked into it. 

Qualification

• Graduate or Postgraduate in Civil Engineering discipline

• Registration as a professional engineer with the governing authority (preferable)

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support Project Manager (PM) and Engineering Manager (EM) in meeting project requirements—scope, cost, schedule, and quality.

  2. Prepare Engineering Work Packages (EWPs) and support planning and progress reporting.

  3. Lead and participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and project engineering meetings.

  4. Prepare, review, and ensure adherence to project procedures, design standards, and specifications.

  5. Oversee and review work from junior and intermediate engineers, designers, and drafters.

  6. Provide technical leadership and facilitate knowledge-sharing across project teams.

  7. Conduct and review conceptual and detailed engineering calculations, design reports, and technical evaluations.

  8. Prepare and/or review technical specifications, RFQs, and bid evaluations.

  9. Interface with client technical teams and support clarification and negotiation during the bid and execution phases.

  10. Ensure implementation of “Safety in Design” principles throughout the design lifecycle.

  11. Coordinate resource planning, forecasting, and workload allocation.

  12. Ensure timely and accurate data handover to other engineering disciplines and resolve integration challenges.

  13. Drive documentation of value additions, best practices, and key learnings for continuous improvement.

  14. Support digital initiatives and automation in design tools or workflows.

  15. Maintain compliance with internal and client-specific quality and document control procedures.

  16. Mentor, train, and review the performance of project team members.

  17. Contribute to project closure documentation and post-project knowledge capture.
