Purpose & Scope of Position

Experience

• 9-15 years of experience in relevant design discipline • Experience in designing E&M systems of hydro power projects / power plants is essential.

Qualification

Key Responsibilities

• Design Engineering:
  • Electrical design for hydro power plants, including generation, evacuation, and auxiliary systems.
  • Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), GA drawings, wiring diagrams, control schemes, and cable layouts.
  • Prepare electrical load lists, equipment sizing, and specifications for major equipment like generators, transformers, switchgear, control panels, etc.
  • Ensure adherence to IEEE, IEC, CEA, IS, and other relevant codes and standards.
• Project Management & Coordination:
  • Interact with multidisciplinary teams including civil, mechanical, instrumentation, and project management.
  • Liaise with clients, OEMs, and other stakeholders for design inputs, technical clarifications, and approvals.
  • Participate in design reviews (internal and with client) and incorporate feedback promptly.
• Technical Documentation:
  • Prepare technical specifications, design basis reports, BOQs, and tender documents.
  • Review vendor drawings and ensure alignment with design intent and project requirements.
